Psychological Assessment
Dr. Rotz and his associates offer comprehensive evaluations for a variety of cognitive, educational, and emotional concerns. Perhaps you’ve noticed a change in your or a family member’s functioning at school, in the workplace, or in relationships. It can be upsetting and confusing to observe or experience unexplained difficulties. We can help to make the picture clearer. Employing extensive clinical interviewing and a range of standardized and normed assessment measures as well as a review of school and/or treatment records, we aim to understand the complex interplay of factors affecting your wellbeing. We’ll meet with you to explain our findings and what we recommend for the pathway forward including any necessary accommodations at school or work. Finally, we provide a comprehensive and user-friendly report that includes all this detail. This report can help in coordinating care with physicians, teachers, and therapists.
Common concerns include:
- Do I have a learning disability?
- Do I have ADHD?
- My child is having problems in school. What is causing this and how do I help them?
- I find myself worrying constantly and having trouble focusing in class and I don’t know what is causing it.
- My teenager has recently been fighting with us, her grades have dropped, and she is sleeping all day. She wants help but we don’t know where to start.
Psychotherapy
- Therapy
Dr. Rotz and his associates treat a variety of concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, couples issues, depression, and trauma.
- Adult ADHD Evaluations
Adults often don’t require comprehensive testing to determine whether one’s behaviors are impacting the ability to function in life. Our office has developed a targeted brief assessment that uses a clinical interview combined with nationally standardized assessment instruments. We offer you a short report that will provide you with greater understanding of whether your difficulties are primarily related to ADHD.
- Coaching
Coaching for ADHD students and adults involves bolstering executive functions. For California residents, Dr. Rotz requires one initial meeting in office to assess a person’s primary needs and collaborate on a plan. Afterwards, Dr. Rotz is able to provide services, either in person or by phone or Zoom.
- Consulting
Successfully helping students and adults with ADHD works better when everyone is on the same page. Dr. Rotz can assist in building skills for best practices with ADHD individuals by consulting with schools or workplaces. Additionally, Dr. Rotz can advise on appropriate workplace accommodations.
